EB_with_Banana_003 I take off from my blog routine to pay tribute to my blog friend Anna Banana who flew in from South Korea last week. Of course I had to meet her! And she was sweet enough to go out of her way to meet me! She who had been privy to my frustrations with kimchi and other life matters the past months. It was nice to know that she was as wacky and engaging in person as she is online (as is often the case with the blog pals I meet. Call it lucky!) Back on Track
This blog is back on track, thanks to my superhero and webhost, Yuga. This site now uses the latest WordPress version, and I like the fact that the reader can choose to view this blog according to one's personal preferences. If you go to the upper left hand corner, there's a cuztomization tool bar where you can choose the size of the font, left hand or right hand navigation, the width of the layout etc. Kewl! I am still in the process of reconstructing my links so please bear with me. Speaking of Yuga, he hails from Guimaras and I can just cry at that beautiful ... Continue Reading...
Hacked!
I logged on yesterday to find that my site "cannot be displayed." After inquiry with my administrator, he told me that my site had been hacked. Gone were my design, my plug-ins and other what-nots. Surprisingly I wasn't such in a panic mode and am glad that Yuga, the man behind my webhost, was helpful enough in recovering my posts, thanks to this site's back-up. I don't know what could have triggered the hacking. All I know is that I have freely given my passwords to several people who've cared enough to improve the appearance of this blog. My editor said it could also ... Continue Reading...
Razon’s Halo-Halo, Susie’s Cuisine & Mely’s Sisig.. simply superb!
Razons My Coolness! Razon's Halo-Halo is simply superb. I haven't been to any of their branches in Manila and so cannot do a comparative taste test but the one we tried at their outlet in NepoMart, Angeles City was a piece of heaven on earth. For the benefit of our foreign readers, halo-halo (literally translated into mix-mix ...??!!) is a Filipino dessert composed of assorted toppings placed at the bottom of a tall glass (hmm, in that case it is no longer a topping but an underling, lol) then heaped with shaved ice, drizzled with milk then topped ... Ole! Great Mexican food at Zapata’s
Barely two hours after our hearty American lunch at VFW, interrupted by a little shopping-cum-walking exercise around the sprawling Puregold Supermarket inside the former Clark Air Base, we were ready to munch on great Mexican food at Zapata's. This place was quite a revelation to me as I didn't expect it to exist beside those rinky-dink bars that surround Clark's Perimeter Road. Its heavy wooden door had a sign that said "Open/Abierto" and as we stepped inside, we were treated to its colorful interiors, notably the red and green chairs and the giant replica of a ...
