
Acer has unveiled the Predator Atlas 8, a new handheld gaming PC designed for players who want the power and flexibility of PC gaming in a portable form.
The device expands Acer’s Predator gaming lineup and runs on Windows 11 Home, giving users access to PC games, launchers, system tools, and Xbox Game Pass support in one handheld device.
Built for PC Gaming on the Go
The Predator Atlas 8 is powered by up to the new Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor, paired with up to Intel Arc B390 graphics. Acer says the device is designed to deliver stronger handheld performance while keeping battery efficiency in mind.
It also supports ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3, an AI-powered upscaling technology that helps improve frame rates and reduce stuttering during demanding gameplay.

Cooling Inspired by Predator Laptops
Acer also focused on cooling, bringing design ideas from its Predator laptop line into the handheld format.
The Predator Atlas 8 uses a dual-fan system, including what Acer describes as the first metal fan in a handheld gaming device. The Predator AeroBlade metal fan has 89 ultra-thin blades and is designed to improve airflow while helping the system stay cool during extended gaming sessions.

Controls Made for Different Game Types

Players can switch trigger modes depending on the game. A micro-switch mode gives a faster click response for shooting games, while Hall-effect analog control is better suited for racing, flight simulation, and other games that need more gradual input.

A dedicated PredatorSense button gives players faster access to these settings while gaming.

Acer said the exact specifications, prices, and availability of the Predator Atlas 8 will vary by region.
The device is expected to roll out in select markets, with more local pricing and availability details to be announced by Acer.
