I haven't travelled abroad lately. Aside from being very busy, the reason is that my passport expires in less than six months which means that I'll not be able to pass through an immigration counter wherever I want to go (sigh). I mean to visit J.CO Donuts in (faraway from me) SM Megamall one of these days. It seems to be the perfect place to enjoy a topnotch dessert and my favorite cup of brewed coffee. But somehow, I can't forget the snazzy opening they had last week which was graced by some of Manila's beautiful people no less. J.CO Donuts & Coffee opens in the Philippines!
We were thrilled to be part of the J.Co experience yesterday as the donut brand opened its first flagship store at The Strip in Megamall Bldg B. The store was filled to the brim with celebrities and guests. Oh-so-delicious donuts were generously distributed for everyone to try, with matching drinks to boot. Our verdict: this coffeeshop chain which originated in Indonesia is sure to be a hit in dessert-crazy Manila. It's all systems go as far as my fried chicken brand is concerned ;) In fact, I've opened my first store front in Caltex Better Living (more on that later). We were able to catch up last week with actor Marvin Agustin who has just been hailed the latest brand ambassador of Knorr. It's no mean feat since Knorr as a recognized global brand usually taps noted chefs and other experts in the culinary field.
