Here's something interesting from the mailbox: "Tourism Secretary Ramon R. Jimenez, Jr. announced that visa reforms to be implemented soon will boost the competitiveness of the Philippines as a tourism destination." The more relaxed visa policy will be implemented on Chinese nationals travelling to the Philippines as part of a tour group (30-day visa-free stay) and Indian nationals who have a valid American, Japan, Australian, Canadian, Schengen, Singapore, or United Kingdom visa (14-day visa-free stay). Passport renewal in Manila
I haven't travelled abroad lately. Aside from being very busy, the reason is that my passport expires in less than six months which means that I'll not be able to pass through an immigration counter wherever I want to go (sigh). I really had to exert an effort to find time for my passport renewal. Having successfully finished the renewal process last week, I can now say it was no sweat and am excited to receive my new "biometric" passport in a couple of weeks! Here's how to renew your passport if you're a Filipino based in Manila: 1. Apply online via ... Continue Reading...
Beautiful people at J.CO Donuts opening in Manila
I mean to visit J.CO Donuts in (faraway from me) SM Megamall one of these days. It seems to be the perfect place to enjoy a topnotch dessert and my favorite cup of brewed coffee. Spotted holding a Snow White Donut was fitness buff Marc Nelson. ... Continue Reading...
J.CO Donuts & Coffee opens in the Philippines!
We were thrilled to be part of the J.Co experience yesterday as the donut brand opened its first flagship store at The Strip in Megamall Bldg B. The store was filled to the brim with celebrities and guests. Oh-so-delicious donuts were generously distributed for everyone to try, with matching drinks to boot. Our verdict: this coffeeshop chain which originated in Indonesia is sure to be a hit in dessert-crazy Manila. Particularly as they also have yogurt with different kinds of toppings and the widest assortment of beverages... both hot and cold. Oooh la ... Continue Reading...
Chicken Delish @ Midnight Mercato Wednesdays
It's all systems go as far as my fried chicken brand is concerned ;) In fact, I've opened my first store front in Caltex Better Living (more on that later). Am setting my sights on Project: Retire from the Corporate Jungle early on, and of course fulfill my wish of seeing my youngest daughter Lucia's growing up years. Going into business (where I can have my own time) is proving to be an irresistible option. And guess what? I still love selling in the weekend markets. Make it weekday since you can find me at Midnight Mercato Wednesdays now (at least for the next few ... Continue Reading...
