Personality Test: The Johari Window

Thanks to my blogkada Jet, I was able to discover this personality test which is fun to try as it not only enabled me to assess myself, I was able to learn what others think of me too. Everything is positive of course; for character weaknesses, one can try the inversely-related Nohari Window.

All the basic things aside, there are three things I can’t live without for a day. These are a) kissing & hugging my honeybunnies ~ all three of them; b) logging on the net, to check emails & such; and c) drinking my coffee, approximately two to three cups in all.

Never-ending beginnings…

I have lived a fairly colorful and adventurous life. Am a dauntless soul who trod on life always looking at a new experience with open eyes, with no regrets. My existence is God’s gift to me and should be fully explored, never mind the difficulty of the roles I have to take in pursuing my life’s milestones:

The first time I lived away from home at the age of 18 because I wanted to prove to my mom I could do it. She wanted me to take a science-related course and all I really longed to do was write and be a journalist. I wanted to show her I could survive being one and so I supported myself through college, lived alone, paid all the bills, took full responsibility and never looked back.

Southern Leyte landslide: we hope never again!

It is hard to imagine the magnitude of the tragedy wrought by the landslide in Southern Leyte which buried almost all the inhabitants of a village in St. Bernard town. Being buried alive in mud is certainly not a great way to die, especially when those struck were teachers and students having a normal day in school or ordinary villagers going on their daily business of surviving.

Last Saturday, the Inquirer carried this report about the results of a four-country survey conducted by Eli Lilly & Co., maker of the virility drug Cialis:

“Married South Korean women are the least happy with their sex lives, Japanese men are the most likely to try and dodge a certain sex problem and French men are the most fond of their frolicking.” The report further added that the French and Americans were most satisfied with their sex lives.

1. Don’t wear red. Wear violet.

2. Do not spray on perfume. Spritz on alcohol.

3. Hug your dog/cat. They are more lovable than the jerk who’s dumped/been ignoring you for ages.

4. Think that it’s not Valentine’s Day. Think that it’s only the birthday of Kris Aquino

5. Try the time-tested “buy yourself flowers.”

BlogCharm & Getting Paid To Blog

Comments are back to normal after I heard from some friends that it’s a pain to register before they can comment. Oh well, let all the spam come in!

Tokayo Anna Lyn of Lysne has clued me in on the birth of BlogCharm which prides itself as the site where “members get paid to blog.” It’s an interesting profit-sharing scheme which should gain the support of tons of bloggers when it launches by March 1. I’ve just taken a cursory look of their FAQ but it’s good that they don’t ban Google Adsense at all! Even then, am not switching to BlogCharm anytime soon as I don’t have the time and energy to maintain multiple blogs. But maybe you could?
