You might have already seen him in the TV program Umagang Kay Ganda. But just in case you haven’t, meet Art Samaniego, the Manila Bulletin Technews editor and “curator” of the Philippines’ one and only informal gadgets lab. We should have more of these “mini museums” to amaze and excite gadget freaks from all over.
The gadgets consist of old and new ones collected through the years by MB scion Emil Yap. He’s known to acquire devices even before they hit the local market. Who can’t fall in love with technology, right?
I’d like to have this Dyson bladeless fan, especially as we have a baby in the house. It’s very safe…and provides good ventilation too!
Sony Vaio mouse…. and when you flip it open, it’s a Skype phone!
the iPod Nano watch with the rubber strap.
This Panasonic video cam isn’t an ordinary one. It takes videos in 3D. The last we heard, it’s not available in the Philippines yet.
I’ve seen replicas elsewhere, but this limited edition Hello Kitty phone is the real thing. It even comes in its own Hello Kitty bag 🙂
I can’t even remember when SIM cards in mobile phones were this big! I wasn’t really fond of my big fat phone from Extelcom. Easycall and Dynatac..those were the days!
More gadgets old and new at the MB Technews lab. If you’re a hardcore technophile, just mention that you read this blog post and would like to take a look. The goodhearted curator might just let you in 😀
