Being just a two-hour drive away, Pampanga is one of those places that's highly accessible from Manila. I've travelled to this province several times either on personal trips with my family or as part of a tour, and it's something I will never get tired of. One can go shopping.... savor a food trip.... there's an assortment of restaurants in Clark, Angeles City and beyond do physical activities like hiking in Mount Pinatubo... or simply enjoy a weekend staycation at any of the hotels...they're as good, if not more scenic, than the ones in Manila. Recently, ... Continue Reading...
Review : Jinjiang Inn, Manila’s newest business boutique hotel chain
A few weeks ago, I was glad to discover and explore Jinjiang Inn - the newest hotel chain to conquer Manila's fast-growing tourism scene. Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery in Shatin
The 10,000 Buddhas Monastery in Shatin is often overlooked by many tourists to Hong Kong. After all, how many of us will bother riding the East Rail Line all the way up the New Territories? But am telling you it's well worth the visit if you want something out of the ordinary from the hustle and bustle of HK. The entrance is impressive enough. There are approximately 500 golden life-size statues lining the pathway. One couldn't help but be amazed, if not amused, with their different poses and expressions. Prepare to exercise. I regretted not ... Continue Reading...
First timers in Puerto Galera
A few weeks ago I finally summoned the willpower to go to Puerto Galera. This was quite the big deal since I've been to Batanes, Banaue, Palawan, Camiguin, Guimaras and other remote places but not to this verdant tourist spot in Oriental Mindoro. So that Saturday, I hauled off the kids and off we traversed the southern highway till we reached the Port of Batangas. In the pier, I parked the car, purchased tickets for the five of us and off we rode the boat that would take us in an hour or so to Puerto Galera. I was quite nervous about this boat ride since we ... Continue Reading...
