Lorna T & Edu Manzano say yes to generic meds

September 14, 2015 ·

Movie stars Lorna Tolentino and Edu Manzano are icons of their generation. So when we saw them wearing the uniform of Watsons sales staff at the Mall of Asia, I thought it was epic. It wasn't just a five-minute show, mind you. Edu and Lorna played their role the whole afternoon, in their capacity as ambassadors for Watsons Generics. The importance of buying generic medicines isn't lost on us parents who have to get the most value out of our money. And we're glad this is the essence of the new Watsons campaign: "“When it comes to health, would you choose ... Continue Reading...

Have you taken the Physiogel #FreeInMySkin challenge?

September 12, 2015 ·

My friends praise me for having clear, flawless skin but I do have my insecurities as well. For instance, I want it to be more brown-skinned, not white. And there are times when my skin sensitivity reaches the extreme that I have to take allergy meds. Not fun at all. Thankfully, my favorite skin care, hypoallergenic label Physiogel has just launched their Daily Moisture Therapy line. Aside from being free from soap, preservatives, perfumes and colorants,it has Physiogel's unique, patented BioMimic Technology® that works to soothe and repair the skin’s natural ... Costa Pacifica Baler weekend!

Costa Pacifica Baler weekend!

Baler in Aurora, Province has been on my wishlist of places to go to in the Philippines for sometime. I would silently envy my friends whenever I see them on FB with their tanned bodies, holding their surf boards and enjoying the beach. But fate has a way of making your dreams come true. In my case, I wasn't only able to explore Baler last weekend, we also stayed in the best resort in town: Costa Pacifica. I can't tell you enough how beautiful and picturesque Costa Pacifica is. Its homey, island design blended seamlessly with the natural environment to ... Continue Reading...

Preparing for your kid’s education 10 years ahead

September 8, 2015 ·

As a responsible parent, I've always believed in preparing for the future. Over the years, I've made it a point to set aside a portion of my income for a variety of insurance products that will ensure my children have something to hang on to in case something untimely or unfortunate happens to me. I do know of some people who don't believe in insurance, but am the opposite. Insurance policies aren't just good for preparing for the inevitable (like your mortality). You can get one for health, pension, retirement or purely for investment. I love that even if nothing ... Continue Reading...

Swift Premium Corned Beef on spotlight at Pio’s Kitchen

September 2, 2015 ·

I think there was a look of shock from my blogger-friends when I showed up in the doorsteps of private dining resto Pio's Kitchen that night. Considering the unbearable traffic in Metro Manila now, you'd think going South to North (and vice versa) is the equivalent of crossing the Rubicon or finishing a triathlon. It takes that much willpower and motivation to venture anywhere far these days! But people like me will always be guilty of going through great lengths to try a new restaurant and taste good food. Bonus if it's "all of the above." This is what happened ... Continue Reading...
