A stay at the Dusit Thani Manila wouldn't be complete without eating at their Benjarong Thai restaurant. So far, I've eaten in Dusit's Tosca Italian Restaurant and UMU Japanese restaurant. The latter remains my favorite but I guess it depends on the person's taste :) The resto has "stately" interiors and evokes formal fine dining. I pass by the Dusit Thani Manila every time I go to Glorietta and have always meant to experience it. During the recent Unboxed 2013 event, Samsung made it possible for me by hosting a short staycation, and I chose my darling daughter as companion. After doing the paparazzi thing on Heart & Chiz, I realized that I was there to enjoy the Technomarine party, even though this stuff is really not my thing anymore. Surprisingly, I liked the music of current hits played by DJ Nina who also smiled at me from her booth...too bad I wasn't able to take her picture. The crowd was hot, drinks were on the house and it was one helluva party. Samsung Galaxy Gear + Note 3 unveiling
Sometime on the first week of September, I had the extraordinary experience of checking in at the club floor of the Dusit Thani Manila in Makati. The funny thing is that my three year old daughter enjoyed the hotel room more than me. While she slept soundly on the heavenly bed, mommy was working at 2 am to catch the live broadcast of IFA, Europe's biggest consumer electronics show in Berlin.
