Reese Fernandez, founder of the award-winning social enterprise company Rags2Riches, is the epitome of cute. Even though it was a fashion show-cum-cocktail affair, she exuded "casual" with jeggings and an attractive top in abstract design. If am not mistaken, the top is by Forever 21. Multi-awarded Filipino couturier Oliver Tolentino designed the bags and the women of Payatas crafted them. They fall under the label Makulay collection, the latest in the designer lin-up of social enterprise Rags2Riches. Previous collaborations were with Rajo Laurel and Amina Aranaz. Midas Hotel, Roxas Boulevard: a first look
The CLEAR event was a good excuse to check out Midas Hotel where Piolo and Bea Alonzo held their presscon. I've been curious about Midas which was formerly the Hyatt Regency hotel along Roxas Boulevard, until the family of Jose Mari Chan (the singer) decided to sell it to new owners. Hyatt was popular during its heyday and one of my last memories of the place was having lunch with a fortuneteller at the Tempura Misono. I forgot his name now, but he was good!
