Okay, this is the last of my Kyoto posts. I just couldn't resist writing about this place, knowing how some of my friends are trying to find love and will even resort to astrology, fortunetelling and other crazy schemes to know who their life partner will be! ( speaking of psychics and such, one said I will marry a white guy and other spot-on projections, but I've never consulted a manghuhula again since getting hitched, for fear of angering the gods... tee hee) The Jishu Shrine is within the complex of Kiyomizu Temple, but it is independent and does not ... Wearing the kimono in Kyoto
I just couldn't resist wearing the kimono - at the last minute! - in Kyoto. I've read Memoirs of a Geisha and all that stuff, and being garbed in traditional Japanese costume, was out there as one of my fantasies. Max’s coffee table book launched
We ate in Max's SM Sucat for Easter. Nothing fancy. But dining at Max's has a nomnom factor that never fails. Long before the rise of today's bonchons, twice-fried, gourmet international fried chickens, there was Max's - a proudly Filipino brand with a crunch and deliciousness to every bite Their recently-launched coffee table book should be in a foodie's collection, especially for loyalists of the brand. It is initially sold at Max's Scout Tuason brand for P2,500 - quite pricey, but hey, it's hardbound and with lots of glossy pictures inside. Authored by ... Continue Reading...
