Mr. Z and I arrived in Ho Chi Minh city yesterday. It's a dream trip where we will have a short sampling of the South (Saigon) and North (Hanoi) in the next few days. I am already feeling the vibe and spirit of Vietnam, especially the food! Took this photo of the city's infamous flock of motorcycles from the window of our taxi yesterday. Their presence is like a colony of ants! :D I changed 3,000 Taiwanese dollars (left over from my previous trip) at the airport and got 1,920,000 dongs. Yay, this is one country where you can easily feel like a millionaire!! ... Continue Reading...
Bazaar selling tips from this blogger bazaarista wanna-be :)
Last December 4, I was able to do one of the things in my wish list and that is join a bazaar! I was into it just for fun and the experience, not really for the money. What better place to do so than at the newly-opened Mercato Centrale weekend food market at the Fort slash Bonifacio Global City area. Fellow bloggers Noemi Dado and Melo Villareal arrived at the appointed time which was 6 a.m.! Shame on me because I organized our food bloggers' participation and I arrived one hour late, jeje. Noemi and Melo were really well-prepared, complete with food-themed ... Continue Reading...
Premium Brands Midnight Sale on December 15-17, 2010
In my bid to visit major bazaars in the metro, I've put this on my calendar: The Premium Brands Midnight Sale happening on December 15 to 17 at the Megatent Events Venue along Meralco Avenue, Pasig City, from 12 noon to 12 midnight. The good thing is that this bazaar is all happening for a good cause. The main proponent is JCI-Manila or more popularly known as the Manila Jaycees. They will use proceeds from the sale to fund their noteworthy projects for the community such as the Alay Lakad, the Ten Outstanding Young Policemen (TOYP), the Blessed Theresa of Calcutta ... Food bloggers at Mercato Centrale tomorrow, Dec. 4 – see you there! :)
It's a first in the history of Philippine weekend markets, and my first time in almost six years of blogging - me and fellow food bloggers will be having a booth at the great foodie wonderland Mercato Centrale (near Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City) tomorrow, December 4, from 6 am (!!) to 12 noon. Look for us in the outdoor piazza where we will be selling our cooked/baked goodies and attempt to replicate the food we blog about. Woohoo! If you read our blogs, do drop by and say hi ... we would be happy to interact with our readers:) Who's joining and ... Continue Reading...
Noel bazaar @ World Trade Center shopping finds
Unlike the free entrance policy of the Cuenca bazaar, my family had to shell out P50 each to enter the Noel Discovery bazaar at the World Trade Center in Manila. I grumbled a bit. I mean, why do we have to shell out money to be able to patronize something that's earning from the tenants already? I just hope the fees they collected go to charity as the place was just packed with people on the day of our visit. And unlike the Cuenca bazaar which was in a remote location, I thought the Noel bazaar had less security. The WTC being in the boundary of Manila, Makati and ... Continue Reading...
