Workers in the government and private sector in the Philippines brace for a long weekend next week as President Aquino proclaimed September 10 a regular holiday to observe Eid'l Fitr or the end of the holy month of Ramadan. September 10 falls on a Friday. The declaration is contained in Proclamation No. 26 signed by the President. This is a rather belated note of clarification on my previous blog post on Cherry Mobile and its triple SIM phone, Trident. Much to the relief of private and government employees, Monday, August 30, has been declared a regular holiday by Malacanang to commemorate National Heroes Day.
