Intercon's Prince Albert Rotisserie is one of the good ol' places to get the five-star steak experience in Manila. This is notwithstanding the fact that top hotels seem to be the favorite gathering ground of anyone who has a serious ax to grind against the government these days... just think about the Oakwood caper and more recently, the Manila Pen siege. A shout-out for The Tides Boracay Hotel
The preview for "Batanes" was held in The Tides, Boracay's newest hotel. It made me think that I am definitely staying there on my next visit! Its main advantage is that it is right smack in D'Mall at Station 2, a center of the Bora night life and just a few walks to the main beach. The second reason is that I so dig its minimalist motif and the black & white lines (okay, predominantly white). We were supposed to go to Batanes but only got as far as admiring this poster at the airport: DSC00419. As expected, bad weather prevented our group from pushing through with the trip.
