Eh kasi bakla…

May 17, 2005 ·

CurlyOriginally uploaded by annalyn. CURLY FOR A DAY. I've grown my hair long and have been bored with its straight look for the longest time. That is why I was doubly thrilled when I had a hair-curling session in SM today en route to buying the UK-made JML ProCeramic Straightener (P1,199.00) It is actually a straightening iron which lets you create "spiral curl effects" on your hair as well. Hmm, what do you think? I was glad that a lady customer gushed today : "Ang ganda naman ng hair mo." I think curly hair is exciting and never boring. Too bad, I know I will not be ... Simply phonetastic!

Nokia 6230iOriginally uploaded by annalyn. Am beginning to hate being a tech writer. That's because I get enamored with every gadget I review and the more I know about advancements in the tech field, the more I'd like to boost my arsenal of gadgets.Take for example the Nokia 6230i which am seriously thinking of owning at this time. There's nothing drop-dead about it at first glance but I don't know why it's getting to be my best friend. Not only is it so slim and handy, I love the way my fingers "connect" with its keypad. Plus of course it's 1.3 megapixels and the ... Continue Reading...

May 13, 2005 ·

Until my transfer to my present post last week, I was in the publicity business. In fact, have been so on an on-and-off basis for the past couple of years. I've been around long enough to know how exacting this work can be, a work which requires you to attend to every "impossible" request and massage the egos of some journalists whose egos are the size of the Millenium Dome. If you read The Devil Wears Prada, this is the media version. On the other hand, what if the situation is reversed...if it's the publicist sort of bullying you? Encountering a few "undesirables" ... Fab places: Mt. Malarayat & Westin’s Poolside BBQ

May 12, 2005 ·

Malarayat PoolOriginally uploaded by annalyn. Mother's Day found me chilling out with the kids at the sprawling Mt. Malarayat Golf & Country Club in Lipa City. I've heard positive comments about this place from some friends and so I was glad to experience it first hand. I was happy to find out they have the facilities to beat the summer blues away such as swimming pools, a 27-hole golf course and separate country clubs for kids and adults. The landscape was also breathtaking. The best part I think was staying at their newly established hotel which was built in time for ... Continue Reading...
