Oatmeal is a good way of promoting healthy digestion and lowering cholesterol in the body. I usually just mix it with hot milk or water then add fruits like bananas for a filling breakfast . A few weeks ago, however, there was a cooking demo conducted by Dong-A Pharma Phils., the distributor of GV Michel Oatmeal of Australia at the Century Park Hotel. The different ways by which the chefs prepared oatmeal literally bowled me over. The oats caldo (oatmeal version of arroz caldo) was so good and the three-mushroom oatmeal risotto made me feel like I was eating in a ... Continue Reading...

Earth Kitchen at BHS Central, BGC
I've always wanted to check out Earth Kitchen in Katipunan but being from the South, the location was far from me. I was thrilled to learn that they've opened in bustling Bonifacio Global City, and got an invite to try their specialties no less. As a purveyor of farm-to-table cuisine, dining at Earth Kitchen is always for a good cause since they support the Got Heart Farms in Tarlac. There are other communities from Luzon to Mindanao where they source the ingredients. The emphasis is on healthy, organic produce that's free from GMOs, pesticides and other harmful ... Our Royal Cliff Beach Hotel family holiday in Pattaya (part 2)
Can you imagine, we went to Thailand not being able to shop at all? I guess that's what you get for staying in a resort that's far from the madding crowd. But am not complaining. Especially as I saw my kids very happy and I got my much-needed relaxation with a capital R! :) We were assigned this Mini Suite Sea View Plus room which was approximately 40 sq.m. but more than enough for us. There was a king-size bed but Dionne, my older daughter, preferred to sleep on the couch. While the other rooms in the property had a mountain view, the best part was our ... Continue Reading...
In Pattaya: a family holiday at Royal Cliff Beach Hotel
We only stayed for one day and two nights in Bangkok during the last vacation to Thailand. The real purpose of our trip was to check out The Royal Cliff Beach Hotel where I got an invite to stay at their Mini Suite Sea View Plus accommodations. Frankly, I didn't know what to expect.I had this image of Pattaya where men spend time to have fun, and it's not the wholesome kind :) My first impression of the place would be shattered because the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel was where we spent a truly wonderful family holiday! We were off to a good start when our limo ... Continue Reading...
