Mother's Day has just passed and this space salutes fellow mommies for the daily sacrifice of raising our children..undoubtedly the hardest profession of all! It's been a difficult but truly beautiful blessing for me to be entrusted with the lives of my little & not-so-little angels... never have I multi-tasked in my life, mustered the courage or even thought of faltering. Each day is a journey, a learning,a discovery ... no two situations are the same. But through it all, I am proud that I've never turned my back on this calling named Parenthood because it is ... Thank you Nido for the #1Mom #MothersDay treat!
Mother's Day came early to me. It happened last May 3, instead of May 11. The invite came from the friendly folks of Nido Fortified Milk and I made sure I attended because....ehem.... all my children are Nido drinkers. I tagged along two of my daughters to the event. The mommies were brought for some pampering at the Blue Water Day Spa in Greenhills while the kiddies were entertained in a nearby restaurant. Fair enough. It was my first time at Blue Water. I didn't know they had this really comfy plush seats for relaxing while you're having a foot spa. The ... Continue Reading...
Two hacking attempts on this site in 6 days !
There has been two hacking attempts on this site in six days...the first was last Sunday when we saw only a white space every time the blog loaded. The second attempt happened last night. I would like to thank my ever-efficient US-based web host Laughing Squid and this blog's web admin (my legal husband Mr. Z) for their kind and swift assistance :) The previous WordPress theme has been disabled because a bad script was probably used by the ... Kyochon now in the Philippines … our first taste! @kyochonPH
Kyochon, the Korean fried chicken brand which has gone global (it has a branch in Manhattan) quietly opened at SM Megamall Building B last April 29. Being the K.F.C. lover, I was really excited to sample their specialties and how it fares with the competitors. First things first, the interiors are a winner. Wood meets industrial elements and it's easy on the eye. The Kyochon space in Megamall isn't that big, but they made good use of the space. Note the giant LED TV in the middle. The main event, of course, was tasting the real Kyochon chicken. We tasted ... Continue Reading...
Binondo food tour with PBCOM
Coverage and reporting by Angelique Misa They say the best way to learn history is through food. Last April 23, we walked and ate our way through the history of Binondo and PBCOM, one of the Philippines' biggest commercial banks. Headed by the renowned Tour guide Ivan Man Dy of Old Manila Walks, selected guests enjoyed the gastronomic experience around the area which is the oldest Chinatown in the world. Dy brought guests to a culinary trip through the most intimate alleys of the Fil-Chinese dominated district.Aside from being a hub for trade and commerce, ... Continue Reading...
