I was about to write another food post but it seems the Vhong Navarro mauling/alleged rape incident shocked the whole nation this weekend. Me included. And the plot has thickened. The names of Cedric Lee, the father of Vina Morales' child, and La Salle student/commercial model Deniece Milinette Cornejo have been involved in the incident. We're spending the weekend in Bonifacio Global City because my daughter was sick and had to be confined in St. Luke's. It's a golden time to discover the cozy little nooks in the area which I wouldn't find time to check out, otherwise. One of the spots on my radar was Luna Specialty Coffee at NAC Tower (which is owned by Rep. Lino Cayetano who is the brother of Sen. Pia Cayetano of Slice at Bonifacio High Street Central). Tim Ho Wan in Manila!
I can't wait for the opening of the new wing in SM Megamall called the Mega Fashion Hall which will house two of my favorites: clothing label H&M and (drum roll pls.) Tim Ho Wan, the dimsum specialists. The grapevine says this new Megamall wing will open on January 28, or before the Chinese New Year. With the arrival of foreign establishments (or franchises, whatever you like to call it), there seems to be less and less reason to fly out of Manila. Tim Ho Wan is a favorite pit stop in Hong Kong.
