I certainly felt like a teenager using these Coloud headphones. First off, the color is very attractive - hence, it's something that you can fashionably wear over your head. Design and construction are well-made as you can only expect from a Swedish brand. I wasn't familiar with Coloud as a label because I think they're new in the Philippines but I have to tell you later in my review that am impressed. And guess what, am giving two readers a chance to own these sassy headphones for the New Year just by following our simple mechanics via Rafflecopter. Here's a look ... Continue Reading...

Places to eat in Sagada, Mountain Province
Will tell you more later about my milestone trip to Sagada which is one of those places in the Philippines on my bucket (fucket?) list :) I guess not many will believe me that I traveled so far to sample the cuisine, because everybody else goes to Sagada to go trekking, spelunking and to feel the cold, cold breeze. I did all those too, but the most enjoyable part for me was being ensconced in some remote coffeeshop just enjoying the good view (there was plenty!) Here's a sample, taken at Gaia Cafe and Crafts. Note the rice terraces in the background. I guess ... Continue Reading...
Wooden Spoon, Katipunan
In one of those rare times this southern belle found herself north of Manila - the campus-lined Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, to be exact - I made sure to drop by Chef Sandy's Wooden Spoon which is one of the restos on my must-try list for 2012. As the photo shows, there's nothing fancy about this resto (although I like the carved spoon accents by the couch). The chef/owner was by the cash register on the day of our visit and the place was almost packed for lunch. Looking at the menu, I liked how Chef Sandy made notes in the first person to explain the dish ... Continue Reading...
Holiday recipes from chef Sandy Daza
The warmest Merry Christmas greetings to this site's readers and friends! So how was your celebration? We spent it in Manila like we've done through the years. I love Christmas coz of the decor we have to play with! Christmas is truly a big event in the Philippines, but from what I know New Year's here is an even bigger eating affair. We take out all round objects and the family table epitomizes the ... Continue Reading...
