Yes I know, it's Valentine's soon and at least three of these things will be in demand: flowers, chocolates and expensive wine dinners. The new Bacon Bar by Machiavelli Chocolatier was something I simply had to have while passing through Essenses in Rustan's Makati recently. It seems that after combining all sorts of exotic things with chocolates, bacon is now the "it" ingredient. I can't complain... there is just something about the crispiness and saltiness of bacon that is irresistible when combined with our favorite sweet treat. The bacon bar was kinda pricey ... Hotel Celeste, Makati : cozy small hotel with the French flair
We could have gone out of town, but on the day of our second wedding anniversary, hubby and I chose instead to snuggle up in Hotel Celeste. Reason for staying: we've never been here! I was certainly glad that the place looked as classy as it was in the pictures. The sight of those envelope-shaped pillows by the bed summoned me to open the surprises and possibilities that awaited us here in this inviting cocoon. We liked the little touches like the L'Occitane toiletries in the bathroom. Yes I admit, I took the unfinished bottles home :D The entertainment ... Continue Reading...

We should have more of these "mini museums" to amaze and excite gadget freaks from all over. The gadgets consist of old and new ones collected through the years by MB scion Emil Yap. He's known to acquire devices even before they hit the local market. Who can't fall in love with technology, right? I'd like to have this Dyson bladeless fan, ... Continue Reading...

As a blogger, the quality of my monitor is as important as the software and hardware of my computer. The main reason: I don't want my eyes to suffer. I have the 22-inch Philips "Brilliance" LCD monitor which I love for its ergonomic design. Its built-in Power Sensor is most commendable because monitor brightness is reduced when am away from my desk, even for just a bit - greatly reducing my power cost. If only for my experience with this monitor, ... Continue Reading...
