Financial literacy with #MoneymaxPh

The internet is a wonderful thing, but most of the time, people can get lost in all the drivel. For example, I get guilty sometimes of spending too much time on Facebook snooping on other people's lives when I should be learning new skills or absorbing other forms of knowledge. This is why I appreciate websites like moneymax.ph which gives out valuable tips on how to handle your cash and educates consumers on the wide array of financial products available in the market.Browsing through this site, I got a lot of info on how to travel for cheap, how to shop for the ... Sambo Kojin Megamall opening promos!

Sambo Kojin is an eat-all-you-can yakiniku owned by the same people behind the legendary Dad's buffet. We always meant to dine here but there doesn't seem to be a branch near us.It was indeed very timely when I got an invite to try out Sambo Kojin's newly-opened branch at the 3rd level of the Atrium of SM Megamall. Too bad, I could only bring one person so I tagged along the biggest rice eater of the twins...Dionne! haha. Even though I woke up late that Saturday, I was oh-so-excited for the highlight of our day. Korean and Japanese food are my all-time favorites and ... Continue Reading...

A Watsons shopping day with @pattylaurel

A Watsons shopping day with @pattylaurel

I love Watsons! I like the variety of the place..the fact that they both have well-known high-street and generic brands, with prices that range from luxurious to mid-range and super cheap! Anyway, when Watsons invited for an event that Saturday, I really had to free up my schedule because it was a chance to spend an afternoon in one of my favorite places in the universe. And not only that, model and celebrity Patty Laurel-Filart would be there to play the role of the friendly Watsons lady. We immediately spotted the very pregnant Patty talking to this customer. ... Just because it’s Friday: new ways to cook with monggo

Just because it’s Friday: new ways to cook with monggo

Somebody told me: monggo (mung beans) is the new superfood. But unlike quinoa, chia, flax seeds and other nutrient boosters, monggo doesn't have the fancy price. It is very affordable and readily available in your neighborhood stores and markets. In the Philippines, tradition dictates that we have at least a monggo dish every Friday to pair with fish or meat. I think it's a Catholic thing...a form of abstinence & penance. And contrary to common perception, this is not just practiced during Lent but year round. Nothing wrong with this, right? Eating monggo has been ... Continue Reading...
