Does having a long name for a restaurant equate to long life? I've seen Restaurante Pia Y Damaso in Greenbelt 5 for as long as I can remember, when GB 5 was only a string of 4 or five restos. Funny that I never got to dine fully here. I thought the small space made it more ideal for desserts and coffee. Look at what I've been missing! It was love at first bite between me and the Filo Tart with Pork Asado (P220). Inside, this treat is filled with asado like the kind you have in siopao. But instead of steamed bun, it's enclosed in crunchy filo pastry & made even ... Continue Reading...
Bulgogi Brothers MOA
The international Korean food franchise Bulgogi Brothers opened at the Mall of Asia last August 6 with a very irresistible offer: 50% off the diners' food bill when you dine on the day.How can we say no, right? We arrived in time before the dinner peak hours and actually had to wait for a table for a few minutes. I saw some Korean managers hovering around which assured me that we were not going to have an American version of kimchi :) I did see how some people went wild with their orders, like the guys at the table next to us who probably ordered half of what ... The dirty truth about laundry bar solution
It is said that Filipino mothers know best. They are known to have some of the world’s cleanest practices in running their households. As a mom to a brood of four, I can relate. Ensure that our kids take a bath everyday and shower before going to bed? Check! Encourage our children to brush their teeth three times a day? Double check! Hand wash clothes so that they are stain-free and smelling fresh for family members to use? Yes. Handwash is preferred because then I know that our garments are thoroughly cleaned and it is also one way of taking care of our ... Continue Reading...
Trench’d Raincoat from Ready for Rain :)
If there's anything we've learned from the torrential rains just passed, it's the fact that wading through terrible floodwaters doesn't give us reason to look frumpy. It's more important than ever to be dressed for the occasion. If ankle-deep is the name of the game, ditch your heels for rubber boots if needed. And if wet weather threatens you enough, for chrissake use your umbrella or resort to something waterproof to wrap your body with. Rainwear is now getting more fashionable than ever and there are no other experts in town than the people who've brought to us ... Continue Reading...
Ibattz Mojo Vogue review
Portability is something I've already adapted to.I don't bring the big ol' laptop anymore (in my case, a Macbook Pro). On most days, I rely on my smartphone to do basic things like surf the internetz and check on FB & Twitter. I wish I can blog using my phone, but tapping away on a small device is something am not used to... yet. Admit it. When you rely on your phone to be the ultimate workhorse, battery power is going to be a big problem. All the more if you are on a low charge and you have to attend a meeting? This is the appeal of doodads like the Ibattz Mojo ... Continue Reading...
