I am sick of it. Everyone's trying to diet. If women, especially, don't have an appetite for anything, I wonder how their life in the bedroom is. LOL. Probably Boring with a capital B! Dieting galpals exasperate me because I can't seem to do it myself. The most success I've had with dieting is eating in moderation, and I know that's not enough. So yes, here's some bad news: another buffet place in town. The Vikings buffet at the bay in Mall of Asia looks like it can give expensive hotel buffets a run for their money. Its edge: spacious, well-designed interiors ... Continue Reading...
Name the mystery phone Week 2 … and some winners!
Congratulations to Stonibert Lim, Elinor Semira and Ning Buning who won for themselves neat USB Baller Bands in Week 1 of our Mystery Phone Contest. A raffle was done via random. org and I will get in touch with you soon on how you can claim your prizes. We are now entering Week 2 of the Mystery Phone contest and this will be a shorter week ending on Thursday, June 16. The rules are the same as the first one. More on the mechanics after the jump! General’s lechon: Manila’s best lechon?
Lechon is my favorite indulgence. I don't eat it weekly (for health reasons) but if today was Armageddon, I'd ask for a roasted pork's crackling skin and its flavorful meat mixed with belly fat as my last meal on earth! The hubby isn't as crazy about lechon but I convinced him to order one for our daughter's christening reception at the Manila Yacht Club last year. We chose General's Lechon as the centerpiece of our little christening party. What could be more perfect than Manila's famous sunset viewed from the verandah of the yacht club and delectable lechon ... Continue Reading...
Android phone review: Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
This is a rather belated review of Sony Ericsson's top-of-the-line android, the Xperia Arc which I had written about when it was launched end of March together with the smaller Xperia Neo. The first thing to rave about the Xperia Arc is its metallic concave body ( that's why it's called the Arc). I give it lots of pogi points for its form factor. I'd easily call this the Porsche of androids at the moment. It's been almost three months since it was launched. I wonder if the introductory price of P29,990 in the Philippines has gone down. The pitfall of this ... Continue Reading...
Name the mystery phone and WIN!
Something arrived in my doorstep the other day. I'll hold the name for now. Let me just call it "the much-awaited smartphone." First impressions: it rocks! At only 8mm thin, I can't describe how fab it feels in my hands and how nice it looks even when placed on the table like this (see photo below) Its sleek front glass panel and textured back casing makes it classy all the way! You can share the excitement with me in heralding the arrival of this smartphone by correctly guessing the name and model of the phone. I will draw three winners every week for three ...
