So yes, most people got it right. The mystery phone that we have been talking about in this blog is the Samsung Galaxy S II ( Model: GT-I9100) which was launched by Samsung Philippines yesterday along with the new generation of jaw-dropping Galaxy Tabs. Some of the country's top techies are shown carrying the Samsung Galaxy S II as their phone of choice today (no kidding!) In photo (from left) is Manila Bulletin Technews editor Art Samaniego, bloggers Rico Mossesgeld and Jayvee Fernandez. The lone lady in yellow is PR maven Annie Ringor. I've been talking ... Samsung Philippines launches Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy S wi-fi 5.0
The new generation of Samsung Galaxy Tab slates were launched today in Makati City. Upgrading the 7-inch series, they're sized at 10.1 and 8.9 inches respectively and noticeably slimmer than their rival iPad 2. The race is on for the unprecedented king of the tablet market ! Price remains TBA (to be announced) but we presume it will be somewhere between Php23,000-29,000 depending on the memory and model (16gb/32gb) . Maybe Samsung Philippines will also have a launching promo, like what they will do with the Samsung Galaxy S II on June 24. In a nutshell, here ... Continue Reading...
Johnny Rockets and the dancing servers
The family was billeted at an Ortigas hotel over the weekend. It was nice since we literally just crossed over to go to the mall. Then, we found ourselves at the newly-opened restaurant wing of Robinsons Galleria called the Veranda and debating whether we'll go to Hyphy's or Johnny Rockets. The latter won mainly because of the burger-eating man of the house (and he was paying) :D I haven't been to Johnny Rockets in California or anywhere so it was all quite new to me. This Americana-themed resto prides itself of its dancing servers. Either you love them or hate ... Continue Reading...
Daniele’s Casa Mia Italian Restaurant, Paranaque City
I have been eating in a number of restaurants in our beloved city of Paranaque. I know that this district is far for some people, but for residents like me, it feels nice to be in the center of a culinary wonderland (albeit "underrated" and "undiscovered.") I love the fact that most of the restos have a homey ambiance and offer home cooking. I really prefer to be dining here now than in hip places of Makati or the Fort. We're blessed to be near Daniele's Casa Mia Italian restaurant which is owned by the son of the owner of the famous Bellini's of Cubao. Like his ... Continue Reading...
Vikings, Mall of Asia: best buffet in Manila?
I am sick of it. Everyone's trying to diet. If women, especially, don't have an appetite for anything, I wonder how their life in the bedroom is. LOL. Probably Boring with a capital B! Dieting galpals exasperate me because I can't seem to do it myself. The most success I've had with dieting is eating in moderation, and I know that's not enough. So yes, here's some bad news: another buffet place in town. The Vikings buffet at the bay in Mall of Asia looks like it can give expensive hotel buffets a run for their money. Its edge: spacious, well-designed interiors ... Continue Reading...
