birthday Originally uploaded by annalyn. To all my dear friends, thanks a lot for your greetings. I officially turned 35 today.I look 27 (that's the spirit!)...and I feel 50.I no longer feel the need to hide my age (you know how women are!)I have been through a lot but it is precisely the extraordinary experiences I had to go through which now makes me feel proud to reach this stage in my life.At 35, I feel happy, secure and at peace with myself. Of travelling quirks and other wandering tales
Looks familiar? (Drawing by Dindo Llana)Originally uploaded by annalyn. By reason of the fact that thousands more of our countrymen are, or will be, working abroad in search of a better life, Filipinos can very well qualify for the title "most traveling race."There are good and not so good stories about Pinoys in foreign lands but what probably distinguishes us from the rest are our travelling quirks. Dr. Absin's Xmas HouseOriginally uploaded by annalyn. It's funny how I went to Dumaguete City like I was only going to Alabang: hop on an early 5:25 am flight that took me only 55 minutes, and come back the day after. The family has just spent a most fabulous weekend in Punta Fuego and Tagaytay City and will be posting the pictures tomorrow.Allow me to let you in on a secret: while New York is my most favorite city in the whole world, Tagaytay is my favorite city in the Philippines. Surely, there are no comparisons between the two but I am simply enamored by Tagaytay's dainty charm, its cool weather, enchanting greenery and of course, the majestic view of Taal Volcano. This is the reason why am paying an arm and a leg for a piece of land 20 minutes from this city and it is here ... Continue Reading...
